| Neritic Zone | เขตน้ำตื้นเหนือบริเวณไหล่ทวีป, Example: ส่วนที่เป็นน้ำในระบบนิเวศทะเล ซึ่งเป็นเขตน้ำตื้นเหนือบริเวณไหล่ทวีป (continental shelf) เป็นบริเวณส่วนที่ตื้นจากริมชายฝั่งจนถึงบริเวณ ที่มีความลึก 200 เมตร (650 ฟุต) บริเวณนี้สิ่งมีชีวิตที่อาศัยอยู่จะเป็น พวกที่ว่ายไปมาได้ (Nekton) เช่น ปลาฉลาม ปลาทูน่า สิ่งมีชีวิตที่อาศัยอยู่ตามพื้นท้องทะเล เช่น ปะการัง ดาวหนาม นอกจากนี้ยังมีแพลงก์ตอนพืชอาศัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก ซึ่งยังแบ่งออกเป็น Supratidal, Intertidal และ Subtidal [สิ่งแวดล้อม] |
